The Organizing Committee and the Latvian Orienteering Federation are delighted to be the hosts for the 7th European Orienteering Championships and World Cup in Ventspils, Latvia from 25 May to 1 June 2008. We welcome all friends of orienteering in Ventspils.

Media Registration
For entry to EOC events and booking of accommodation and other services, please fill in the registration form in the Media section of the www.eoc2008.lv website.
Accommodation
For media representatives we can offer special EOC 2008 rates as long as there are rooms (see paragraph 16 for details) available for both: ETOC2008 and EOC2008, provided that the accommodation is booked through the EOC 2008 organisers. The EOC 2008 organisers will inform the registered media representatives on accommodation alternatives.
The Media Centre will be situated right in the heart of Ventspils, 7/9 Sporta iela (same place as event centre only opposite house).
When you arrive please register yourself. If you have paid for your hotel room in advance please remember to bring a copy of the transfer receipt. Registration can only happen when all financial issues are cleared. When you register you will receive our media information package and your media ID card, which you must always carry visibly in order to access the areas reserved for the press. If you arrive outside our opening hours please contact the EOC office.

The EOC Media Centre will provide an official even service including photos taken during the competitions. These will be offered at the WOC website for downloading in high resolution quality for accredited media representatives.
Photo zones for accredited photographers will be available in the arenas.
Both media tent and media centre will also provide WiFi connection with limited bandwith at tent and unlimited at centre.
Photography and TV-cameras
There will be special zones along the run-in and elsewhere reserved for the press. You must respect these boundaries at all times and please follow any instructions given to you by the organizers. Any violation of the boundaries may result in an immediate loss of the media ID card.
Media Race
The VIP, Media, officials and IOF Race will be held on Friday 30th May from 14:00 on the Middle qualification finish area in Jaunupe.
